I used to be a bit anti-Valentine’s Day, but have grown to love it recently. There are so many ways to celebrate this holiday, rather than just being attached at the hip with your significant other. Once I heard about Galentine’s Day (thanks, Parks and Rec), I started a little VDay tradition with my best girlfriends.
We get together to eat dessert, drink wine, and watch a romantic movie (this year’s choice was How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days). And it’s a blast each time. This year, I tried my hand at decorating my sugar cookies with royal icing and LOVED the result— I can’t wait to make these cookies for every holiday from here on out!
Whether it’s curating my favorite love songs for a playlist or picking out the perfect greeting card, I really enjoy celebrating all kinds of love in February now. I’m looking forward to throwing these Galentine’s Day parties for many years to come.
